30 Jan - handover date moved forward

I received a call from SS and he mentioned that the handover is a day earlier. So Thursday, Feb 6th it is!

Jan 24 - final payment processes

Once we received a handover date, we started the process for issuing the final payment.
We notified our banker at the earliest so that they could arrange an inspection/final evaluation for the property. Also gathered interim occupancy certificate from Rawson admin section.

Jan 24 - PCI

We were excited and at the same time nervous when we walked into the house for PCI.

We had prepared ourselves very well and we had a clear idea of the areas we need to concentrate in each rooms.

Also we prepared a list of external items which required rectification well in advance - mainly mortar repointing issues, cladding and glass damaged by vandals etc.. it made it really easier for us.

Altogether PCI went well and finally we had a date for handover - Feb 7th.

Jan 22 - Private inspection

We manged to get the private inspection done just before we went in for PCI.

I found that really helpful because we got enough time to go over the report and we could concentrate on other stuffs which requires rectification

Driveway, carpet photos

We have a driveway. . And the carpets are in as well.

Driveway poured, carpets booked for today, PCI booked for next week

The driveway will be poured today. The carpets are also meant to go in today. But I doubt it. Will be going to site to check those tomorrow.

Also our PCI has been booked for 24th Jan, we haven't got a date yet. SS will confirm the date only on the day of PCI.

I have also booked our private inspector to go on site.

Driveway

We're on the roll again. Getting ready for handover.

The driveway is cut and marked. A huge pile of dirt infront of our house, which we will need for the back yard.  Hopefully they dont clean the site before SS comes back from holidays
